Membaca Alkitab, Membentuk Pribadi: Sebuah Pendekatan Pedagogis

Abstract


The number of deviant behaviors today carried out by both children and adults shows that there is a problem in their personality. Claiming to be religious and living in a country known for its good personality, Indonesia, but the actions shown do not reflect what is embraced and upheld by the Indonesian state. It is proven that there are still many children/students who are no longer respectful, obedient to parents, teachers, and rules, no longer like to come to church; corruption, drugs, violence, and other immoral acts. If left unchecked, Christians will lose their identity as imagodei. As an imagodei, Christians should be able to show the character of Christ and his faith in daily life. This research was conducted with a literature study approach where data was obtained through relevant literature. The data obtained is reduced, analyzed, and then conclusions are drawn. Based on the results of this study, it was obtained that one of the efforts that can be made to form a personality is by reading the Bible. By reading the Bible, a person's personality can be formed because the Bible is so rich that it can help and change a person's personality. The Bible is also not just a reading book, the Bible is the word of God, where everyone who reads is directly connected to God and God works in the process of forming the personality of the person who reads it.
